Hi Parents/Guardians - Here is an email that I sent last night. I'm posting it here because there is some important information and dates that you may wish to reference:
- I want to let you all know about an upcoming opportunity to visit Thetford Acaemy (TA). Parents/Guardians, students, and other interested individuals can attend and information night either Monday, October 15th or Thursday, November 1st from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. The event will include an opportunity to meet the Head of School, talk with current students, hear from TA faculty, learn the parent perspective, tour the campus, and enjoy light refreshments.TA is a truly wonderful and unique school that is often overlooked when Hartland famililies consider high school options. From what I know - TA might actually be a nice "fit" for several of our current eighth graders.
You will of course get to hear from and visit representatives from TA on Wednesday, November 7th here at the HES Library as part of our own High School Panel Presentation Night - but it is also my suggestion that you consider attending their own presentation on one of these two nights.
- Also - on my school web site I have created a special page just for eighth grade parents/guardians. Along with copies of important emails (like this one) - it has links to useful forms/procedures/et al. You can always use it to double check on upcoming eighth grade-related events.
- Re. Time Tunnel Bulletin Board contest pictures: Please get them to me. If you email them - I'll print, crop, and cut them. Just get them in to me. Thanks.
PS: A hearty congratulations to all of you (Parent/Guardians, Students/Friends & Family Members - and most of all, the Amazing Beth Z.) that helped make the Quechee Gorge Foliage Bake Sale a truly astounding success.
